The Glory of Victory.

Apologies to my legion of fans, this is a delayed post, as I'm still coming down from my moment in the sun. Y'know... media engagements, product endorsements, sponsorship deals... blah blah blah...
Back in November I popped along to the Daylesford and District Agricultural Society's Annual Show. (Or the Daylesford Show as we know it). I have always fancied myself as well... fancy, and rated myself as a chance among the other cavies for a neat little certificate, or perhaps even a ribbon.

In preparation for the show I took a long and indulgent bubble bath...

Excuse me... Do you mind? I'm bathing...

I patiently sat on the washing machine (oh the shame) as I was dutifully dried...

they used an old beach towel... I mean, I'm dying right now.

... and only complained a little bit as I was coiffed and groomed and made (even more) fabulous for my big day.

The judging was brutal... I mean, look what they did with my hair?!

The judge and I had a fabulous rapport. We discussed politics, grain prices, the weather, and which guests we'd invite to a dinner party if we could invite anyone... (Kevin McCloud for me... *giggle* - Oh If only he'd design me a hutch... something sustainable and glamourous.)

I'd like to thank the Academy, the judges, my Mum, and Kevin McCloud... oh Kevin.

After a claw-biting few minutes, the judges made their decision, and I was crowned Best Sow at the 2014 Daylesford Show. I was of course overwhelmed with the applause and cheers from the crowd, fans and supporters cheering my name, (Fluffy! Fluffy!) and was handed bunches of parsley and dandelions and broccoli leaves as I struggled to keep the weighty crown atop my head. Oh the tears of joy I cried! Just re-living it brings tears to my eyes... sniff!

I would like to personally thank the judges. I promise to make my year as Best Sow a positive one for cavies everywhere. I will continue my charity work and pursue the betterment of life for Guinea pigs across the land.

Kisses to you all darlings!

Fluffy. x x
